Tonight at the 2012 CMA Awards, Brad Paisley did his best imitation of Psy when he performed part of the Korean rapper’s “Gangnam Style” dance at the beginning of the country music show. Watch Brad and Carrie’s attempt at dancing here!
Paisley and co-host Carrie Underwood (whose stunning vocal performance of “Blown Away” was easily the highlight of the night) were in the middle of their monologue when the “Gangnam Style” music began playing. “The last time, you hurt yourself!,” Underwood warned, but Paisley put on a pair of sunglasses beneath his cowboy hat and began riding his imaginary horse.
Paisley wasn’t half bad, and soon enough, Underwood joined in as well. The only thing that was missing was an appearance by Psy himself!
Later in the show, Paisley joked that country radio stations have refused to play his version of “Gangnam Style.” He pleaded with them to change their minds, saying, “It couldn’t be more country. It’s South Korea, which is a country. And Korea is the South!”
