Party rockers Redfoo and SkyBlu of LMFAO have won the 2012 MTV Movie Award for Best Music. No surprise here! The guys were the big favorites. Their song “Party Rock Anthem” won the trophy for the scene from “21 Jump Street.”

MTV didn’t even bother with a proper award presentation featuring all of the nominees. Instead, during a commercial break, MTV VJ Sway appeared to announce that LMFAO had won. The guys had just a few seconds to clutch the gold popcorn statuette and make a speech before the show cut away.

Big-haired singer/rapper Redfoo spoke for the duo, thanking the fans for their support. He called them “the wiggle masters.”

“Party Rock Anthem” was the favorite since it was a massive hit last year, hitting #1 and making LMFAO one of the most popular dance acts in the world. The other nominees were Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” from “Project X,” the Chemical Brothers’ “The Devil is in the Details” from “Hanna,” College’s “A Real Hero” from “Drive” and Figurine’s “Impossible” from “Like Crazy.”

The party rockers have a lot going on at music award shows this month. As we reported a couple weeks ago, LMFAO will be hosting the MuchMusic Video Awards. Now that is going to be insane!
