This year’s big day is fast approaching! The 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, honoring performers like the White Stripes, Outkast, and Cyndi Lauper, will take place in just a couple of months.
Who’s performing on the show? At what venue is the ceremony? How can you buy tickets? Read on for answers to all your burning questions — at least, the ones that we know the answers to right now.
When and where is the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony?
The 40th Annual induction ceremony takes place this year on November 8, 2025 at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Peacock Theater is the smaller, 7100-capacity theater located next to the Crypto.com Arena (Staples Center) in Downtown LA. It was formerly known as Nokia Theatre and Microsoft Theater.
This year marks a return to Los Angeles, after last year’s event was held in Cleveland. For the past several years, the ceremony has rotated between LA, Cleveland, and NYC.
Where can I stream or watch the Rock Hall induction?
The event will be available to watch live on Disney+ on November 8 as it happens, starting at 8 pm ET and 5 pm PT. After the ceremony ends, it will be on Disney+ for streaming.
The ceremony tends to take more than five hours, since there are so many speeches, video packages, and live performances.
Fortunately, a condensed version of the ceremony will air on ABC on Thursday, January 1 at 8 pm ET. Starting on January 2, the condensed ceremony will be streaming on Hulu.
Who is getting inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2025?
Regular performer inductees for 2025 are Outkast, the White Stripes, Cyndi Lauper, Chubby Checker, Soundgarden, Joe Cocker, and Bad Company. They were all selected through the regular ballot by the Hall’s main voting body.
Getting inducted in the “Musical Influence” category (chosen by a special panel) are Warren Zevon and Salt N Pepa.
Bassist Carol Kaye, pianist Nicky Hopkins, and legendary R&B songwriter and producer Thom Bell will be inducted via the “Musical Excellence” category, also chosen by a special panel. Record company executive Lenny Waronker will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
Fun fact: Soundgarden’s Matt Cameron will become the 28th person in history to earn Rock Hall induction twice, as he was already inducted with Pearl Jam.
Who is skipping the induction ceremony?
So far, three inductees have announced that they will skip the event. “The Twist” singer Chubby Checker, who for decades demanded that he be inducted, is apparently continuing to harbor a grudge. He says he won’t be showing up to LA for the induction.
Strangely, Checker already received his trophy for induction at a gig in Iowa, where the Rock Hall cameras were on hand to record his speech. That will presumably be shown during the November ceremony. Checker will be playing a gig on November 8 instead of coming to LA.
Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers, who had been expected to perform and reunite with his bandmates, announced at the last minute that he will skip the show. He wrote on Instagram, “My hope was to be at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health. I have no problem singing, it’s the stress of everything else. Thanks for understanding.”
Carol Kaye also announced that she would skip the ceremony, giving a lengthy explanation that essentially said that studio musicians like her were part of a team and should not be honored as solo artists.
Who will perform at the 2025 induction ceremony?
On October 8, the Rock Hall announced the following names as presenters or performers for the ceremony:

On October 28, the Hall added the following names as presenters or performers:

- Bryan Adams
- Chappell Roan
- Donald Glover
- En Vogue
- Feist
- Gina Schock
- Hurby Luv Bug Azor
- Janelle Monae
- Jerry Cantrell
- Jim Carrey
- Joe Perry
- Killers
- Lisa Coleman
- Mick Fleetwood
- Mike McCready
- Nancy Wilson
- Nathaniel Rateliff
- Tedeschi Trucks Band
The Hall did not specify whether these artists will perform, or if they are just serving as presenters. Carlile has confirmed she will sing with Soundgarden. She told the Seattle Times, “I cannot wait to (expletive) perform with them. I worship those guys.”
Carlile previously sang with the group in concert and sounded fantastic.
Carlile could also perform with Elton John, since they released a collab album this year.
Momsen has also performed with Soundgarden in the past, and could sing with them as well.
Chappell Roan, last year’s Best New Artist winner, has confirmed that she will induct Cyndi Lauper. on Instagram, she said, “(Cyndi) has inspired me with her fashion, her hair, of course, her makeup, her music. I actually auditioned with ‘True Colors’ for America’s Got Talent when I was 13! I didn’t make it, but the song is still incredible.”
The Killers will be performing, but we don’t yet know which song or artist they will be honoring.
Donald Glover will be serving as the presenter to induct Outkast.
As far the others, we can make some educated guesses. David Letterman will almost certainly induct his friend, the late Warren Zevon. Letterman was a huge admirer or Zevon, and he inducted Pearl Jam in the past.
Killer Mike and Missy Elliott could be on hand to induct or perform with Salt N Pepa and Outkast, the two hip hop acts on the bill.
The big questions are whether we might see either Outkast or the White Stripes reunite to take the stage. Meg and Jack White haven’t played together since a 2009 apperance on Conan O’Brien’s final Late Night show. Even if Meg doesn’t come, Jack White is considered a strong bet to perform.
Andre 3000 and Big Boi of Outkast last performed together in 2014, but they are still on good terms. Big Boi came to one of Andre’s solo performances last year. Fans would love to see this iconic duo rap some of their biggest hits, but we’ll have to wait and see what they decide to do.
We’re guessing here, but Cyndi Lauper is perhaps the most likely of the inductees to perform on the ceremony. She’s been touring all year, and her trek wraps up on August 30, giving her time to prepare for a Rock Hall performance. She is very likely to appear and possibly open the show with her hits like “Time After Time” and “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”
As for the other inductees, Bad Company hasn’t performed with its surviving members since 2019. You’d have to think that singer Paul Rodgers, who is still touring, will want to play some of the group’s classics, like “Feel Like Makin’ Love” and “Can’t Get Enough.”
Salt N Pepa could perform, but that’s a toss-up. Joe Cocker and Warren Zevon are both no longer with us, but as always, we can expect someone to perform their music as a tribute.
How can I buy tickets sold to the 2025 induction ceremony?
Tickets went on sale in mid-September via axs.com. The upper-level seats sold out early. On Stubhub, lower-level tickets could be found for around $200.
Given the smaller venue (last year’s venue in Cleveland has a capacity of more than 19,000), it makes sense that tickets for the 2025 ceremony are in high demand.
